Our Journey

Winter Donation

The severe climatic challenges that grip our surroundings during the winter months often go unnoticed by many. Tragic reports of lives lost due to the unforgiving winters make their way onto the pages of newspapers year after year. Despite the passage of time, the situation remains unaltered in many regions. For those less fortunate, the winter season ushers in a host of hardships, with homelessness adding a new layer of difficulty. A blanket's warmth might come at the cost of a skipped meal, and families hit by the pandemic's economic fallout find it increasingly challenging to maintain adequate housing and warmth.

The Struggle Of Harsh Winters

Winter in several parts of India can be brutally harsh, particularly for rural inhabitants and urban residents without access to warm clothing or proper shelter. Necessities such as food, shelter, and warmth are fundamental for human well-being. Deprivation of these essentials forces individuals to endure a life of unimaginable hardship. This is even more painful with orphan and EWS patients admitted in hospitals, so we start our drives with them only.

Extending A Helping Hand

In response, Saambhavi has taken the initiative to assist the underprivileged and marginalized segments of society. Since November 2016, we have launched an annual Blanket Distribution Drive, striving to provide blankets, shoes, warm clothing, quilts, and more to those in need. Our efforts extend to economically weaker sections, laborers, orphanages, and maternity centers in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Punjab.

Our endeavors might appear modest to those who are economically privileged. However, the significance of these efforts must not be overlooked. These seemingly small gestures provide a glimmer of hope for economically distressed individuals, promising a better future and a warmer winter. As awareness of the annual hardships faced by these communities grows, more volunteers are approaching us to help needy ones near their home from different rural areas and more people motivated to contribute to this noble cause also.
